Associate Special Ed. Teacher
Overview:
We are seeking a F/T Associate Special Ed. Teacher (not a TA) for our Upper School. Must be certified or working toward Special ed. certification. You'll be primarily engaged in differentiated instruction, either direct or collaborative, under the direct supervision of Dean of Students, for students w/learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan engaging and challenging units of study
- Maintain the classroom environment (e.g., organizing materials, designing bulletin boards, setting up learning centers and work areas, and photocopying materials).
- Contribute assessment data and information for report cards.
- Knowledge of cognitive, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of students w/learning disabilities.
Requirements:
NY State certification or working towards it and special ed. certification or working towards it.
