Speech Pathologist

Overview:

The qualified candidate will work with students in grades 1-12 in our Lower, Middle and Upper Schools. They will provide individual and group services to the students, and collaborate with classroom teachers to make and ensure goals are developed and used in the classrooms. They will also participate in CSE meetings and form collaborative relationships with the parents.

Independent school experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

Therapists are also expected to participate fully in the life of the school, be a team-player, a supportive colleague, and contributing member of the professional community. They will provide speech therapy individually or in groups, as needed, in dedicated spaces. 

Requirements:

New York State Speech/Language Pathologist certification required.

Knowledge of the cognitive, linguistic, and developmental needs of special education students.

Strong classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
