Special Education Teacher (MS)

Overview:

We are seeking a full-time, Special Ed.-certified teacher for grades 6-8. The ideal candidate has a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment and have a commitment to teaching students with language-based learning disabilities.

Responsibilities:

Plan engaging and challenging units of study and differentiate instruction as needed.

Teachers are expected to participate fully in the life of the school, be a team-player, a supportive colleague, and model professional behavior.

Requirements:

A degree in Special Education  or working toward the certification is required.

Independent school experience preferred.

Knowledge of the cognitive, linguistic, and developmental needs of special education students.

Strong classroom management, communication and organizational skills.
