Vincent Smith School Lecture Series

Vincent Smith School opened its doors to parents of children with special needs and the greater community for its lecture series, which runs throughout the school year. Learning Disabilities Specialist David Feller was on hand to share important information about, Transitioning from High School to College: Special Needs Issues to Consider . Mr. Feller, who is the Superintendent of North Merrick Public Schools, spoke to a standing room only crowd as he discussed preparation, timelines, testing accommodations, self advocacy and the college experience. Parents and students alike were enlightened by the information.
