The Admissions Process

Admissions Policy

Vincent Smith School considers for admission any pupil who shows promise of academic success and who may find our educational program effective and satisfying. Students with serious emotional or disciplinary problems will not be considered. The school will give special attention, in the admissions process, to a pupil who has not yet reached his/her full potential.

The admissions officer will take into consideration:

  • Application form
  • Individual Education Plan (IEP) if classified
  • Psychological and educational testing
  • Developmental history
  • Release form
  • Other relevant evaluations that might assist us in the admissions process
  • A $50 non-refundable application fee

Policy of Nondiscrimination

The Vincent Smith School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, granting equal rights to all programs and activities of the school. Vincent Smith welcomes students of all ethnic groups and recognizes their valuable contributions to the life and character of the school.

Financial Aid

Parents of students who have been accepted may apply for need-based tuition assistance. A completed financial aid application form and a copy of the most recent tax return are required. Financial Aid is awarded on a yearly basis and must be reapplied for each year; a decision on the award of financial aid may be delayed pending receipt of full information on available resources. As the funds for financial aid are limited, it is addressed on a first come, first served, basis.
