Special People Spotted at Vincent Smith School

Grandparents, tutors, siblings, neighbors, coaches and many other people who play a significant role in the lives of students were on hand to enjoy Special Persons Day at Vincent Smith School. Students opened the doors of the school and they had an agenda of fun-filled activities to occupy the time. Students enjoyed the company of their special people and introduced them to classmates and teachers.

Breakfast and bingo proved to be a winning combination. The object of bingo was to fill in your board by covering all of the adjectives of special people as determined by the students. As listed in the day’s program, the recipe for a special person includes unconditional love, encouragement, understanding, compassion, creativity, fun and patience. It was evident that each of the special people in the VSS students’ lives was a great combination of this recipe, serving as an inspiration to their hosts. After breakfast and bingo, guests were given a tour of the school and invited back to classrooms.
